Evercare Home Care (“Evercare,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) complies with applicable federal and Michigan civil rights laws and does not discriminate, exclude people, or treat them differently on the basis of:

  • National origin (including limited English proficiency and primary language)
  • Sex (including pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender identity, and sex characteristics)

This applies to all of our services, programs, employment practices, and activities — including how we accept clients, assign caregivers, provide care, schedule visits, communicate, and handle complaints.

Evercare:

  • Provides free aids and services to people with disabilities to communicate effectively with us, such as qualified sign language interpreters and written information in other formats (large print, audio, accessible electronic formats, and other formats).
  • Provides free language services to people whose primary language is not English, such as qualified interpreters and information written in other languages.

Grievance Procedure

If you believe Evercare has failed to provide these services or discriminated in any way on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, age, religion, or disability, you can file a grievance with:

You can file a grievance in person, by mail, by phone, or by email. If you need help filing a grievance, the Civil Rights Coordinator is available to help you. We will respond to your grievance promptly and will take any actions necessary to resolve it.

Auxiliary Aids and Services for People with Disabilities

If you have a disability and need assistance to communicate with us, we provide the following services free of charge:

  • Qualified sign language interpreters (in person or via video remote interpreting where appropriate)
  • Real-time captioning
  • Written materials in large print, audio, accessible electronic formats, Braille (on request), and other accessible formats
  • Assistive listening devices and other auxiliary aids as needed
