Our Services

The kind of help that fits a real day at home.

Every family's day looks different. Some need an hour each morning so mom takes her medication and eats breakfast. Some need a caregiver in the home from sunset through dawn so dad doesn't wander. EverCare is built around your schedule — not the other way around.

EverCare's in-home services include personal care services, companion care, daily living assistance, hourly caregivers, and private duty home care across Oakland, Macomb, and Wayne counties. All services are delivered by dementia-trained caregivers, with the same primary caregiver matched to each client.

Common questions

About our in-home services.

What in-home services does EverCare provide?

EverCare provides personal care services, companion care, daily living assistance, hourly caregivers, private duty home care, respite care, overnight in-home care, and 24/7 in-home care across Oakland, Macomb, and Wayne counties. Every service is delivered by dementia-trained caregivers, with one primary caregiver matched to each client. We do not provide skilled nursing, physical therapy, or any service that requires a Medicare-certified home health agency — those would come from a separate clinical provider, and we coordinate with them when needed.

What's the difference between personal care and companion care?

Companion care is supervision, conversation, light housekeeping, meal prep, and transportation — the gentle daily presence that keeps an early-stage loved one safe and engaged. Personal care services add hands-on help: bathing, dressing, toileting, transfers, and medication reminders. Most families start with companion hours and add personal care as needs grow. The same caregiver typically handles both, so you're not introducing a new face when the level of help changes.

Do you offer hourly caregivers in Michigan?

Yes — every EverCare schedule is billed hourly. There are no daily or weekly minimums beyond a 3-hour visit, no contracts, and no penalty for scaling down on a good week. Many families across Metro Detroit start with a few mornings a week and grow from there. Call (586) 326-3256 and we'll quote a flat hourly rate for your situation in plain English.

What is private duty home care?

Private duty home care is non-medical care paid for privately (or through long-term care insurance or VA benefits) — as opposed to Medicare-certified home health, which is short-term skilled nursing for a specific medical episode. EverCare is a private duty home care agency. We're who you call when your loved one needs ongoing daily help at home and Medicare won't cover it.

What's not included in EverCare's in-home services?

We do not provide skilled nursing, wound care, IV therapy, physical or occupational therapy, or any task requiring a clinical license. We also don't diagnose, prescribe, or make medical decisions. When those services are needed, we coordinate alongside the home-health nurse, hospice team, or doctor your family is already working with — our caregivers handle the daily life around the clinical care.

How do I schedule a free assessment?

Call (586) 326-3256 (answered 24/7) or fill out the contact form. A senior team member visits your loved one's home for a calm, no-pressure 60-minute conversation, then sends a written care plan within 24 hours. Most Oakland, Macomb, and Wayne County families have a caregiver in the home within 24-48 hours of the assessment.

Not sure which service fits? That's what the free assessment is for.

We'll talk it through with you — no pressure, no contract, no obligation.
